PNG vs JPG for PDF Conversion
- PNG: Lossless, supports transparency. Best for documents with text, diagrams, or if you plan to edit the image further.
- JPG:Lossy, smaller file size. Best for scanned documents where pixel-perfect text isn't critical and file size matters.
Resolution Matters
For on-screen use, 72–96 DPI is sufficient. For print use, choose 300 DPI. Higher DPI produces larger file sizes but sharper results when zoomed in. Most web use cases are fine with 150 DPI as a balance between quality and file size.
